    "content": " Hon. Speaker, I would like to draw the attention of the House to Standing Order No. 197 on the limitation of mandate of a select committee or any other committee of parliament. It reads as follows: “The deliberations of a select committee shall be confined to the mandate of the committee and any extension or limitation of that mandate as may be directed by the Assembly and, in the case of a select committee on a Bill, to the Bill committed to it and relevant amendments.” Hon. Speaker, Standing Order No. 205(2) on the mandate of the PAC says: “The Public Accounts Committee shall be responsible for the examination of the accounts showing the appropriations of the sum voted by the House to meet the public expenditure and of such other accounts laid before the House as the Committee may think fit.”"
