"content": " Thank you, Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker for giving me this opportunity also to add my voice on this very important Motion. I want to state at the outset that I support and I want to congratulate Hon. Ruweida. Indeed, she has demonstrated that women are coming to take their rightful positions. Gone are the days when the only thing that would make you realise that a woman was around was the smell of a very nice perfume. This is very good. I also want to tell the Government and the policy makers within Government that this is a very important aspect of ensuring a healthy population in this country. They should therefore consider spending more money in early testing of diabetes and cancer and make it mandatory. There is a lot of wastage in Government. There are misplaced priorities that are upside down where the Government is funding things which are not really important. Health is a very important aspect of human life. These terminal diseases such as cancer and diabetes are impoverishing Kenyans. Kenyans are spending all their life savings, selling their property, cows and land to treat these diseases.
