I rise to ask Question No.114 of 2019 to the Cabinet Secretary for Agriculture, Livestock, Fisheries and Irrigation: (i) Could the Cabinet Secretary provide existing policy guidelines regarding buying of tea leaves from farmers by tea factories, and in particular by the Mara Tea factory located at the border of Kisii and Narok counties? (ii) What steps is the Ministry taking to ensure that the numerous challenges faced by tea farmers are addressed? Thank you, Hon. Speaker."
