    "content": " Thank you, Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker. At the outset, allow me to join my colleagues in rejecting the proposed amendments. I vehemently oppose these proposed amendments by the Senate by the following few reasons that I want to lay bare. I served in the 11th Parliament as a Member of the Departmental Committee on Transport, Public Works and Housing, which is part of the Committee that initiated this process. I remember very well what we deliberated on it. This is not part of what we went through. This is unconstitutional. Article 96 of the Constitution gives us the limitations to what the Senate is supposed to do. It also goes further to explain what it entails in Article 107 through to 113. If you look at what they are proposing, it does not lie in that range.
