Members have been very busy with vigorous campaigns all over the country and it is a deserved rest for them to take time off and be able to attend to other pressing personal and national issues. As we do so, it is also important that coming as it does immediately after the Budget, we have the time to go back to our constituencies and look at our programmes and Government implemented programmes. I want to commend the people of Kenya in the manner that they have conducted themselves in the last couple of months and the manner in which we have displayed responsibility, discipline and cohesiveness to the whole world that, indeed, we can come together make a difference. If you lived in this country in 2007 December and 2008 January/February, you could not imagine that we could come to where we are."
