His academic credentials, professional training and experience comply with Section 6(7) of the Public Appointments (Parliamentary Approval) Act, No.33 of 2011. In fact, the nominee had confidence of his colleagues at the University of Nairobi who elected him as the dean of the faculty before he was elevated to become a principal then later after just about one year, he was promoted to the position of Deputy Vice Chancellor, Administration and Finance. Finally, he became the Vice Chancellor of the University for 10 years. We observed that he meets the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution on Leadership and Integrity.
