(Dr.) Zani, that we will have to amend Clause 3 of this Bill to include the minerals that are exploited without due regard to the interests of the community. Many people are dying in the Macalder Mines and the Kakamega gold mines and people are not getting the benefits even within the local communities. All they see is that their land is distorted and mutilated and there is nothing that they get out of it. They can neither plant nor do anything on that piece of land. They are not even getting any benefit accruing from that resource which is being exploited by the entrepreneur."
