The justification for this is that the Committee notes that the deletion of the word “apparent value of the land” is improper as it alters the import of the clause, which was to provide an increase in the value of the land. This shall be disregarded if there is an increase in the potential value of the land. The Committee also notes that Section 107A8(a) reduces the duration of what can be termed as uninterrupted occupation from 12 years to six years. This period should be tied to the common law doctrine which refers to 12 years."
