"content": "Hon. Omboko was elected by the public in his constituency to represent all professions but not just teachers. If we look at the provisions of these Standing Orders to the exclusion of what is provided for in the Constitution, then we will not get it right. Article 122(3) of the Constitution is clear that a Member shall not vote on any question in which he has a pecuniary interest. As you rightly said, the Standing Order goes further to expound that personal interests will include pecuniary interest, proprietary interest, personal relationships and business relationships. When I rose on a point of order about three weeks ago in relation to the issue of the Member for Mathioya, Hon.
