Members, before we proceed to the next Order, being the Committee of the whole House, I wish to issue the following guidance which relates to the consideration of the proposed amendments to the Sports (Amendment) Bill (National Assembly Bill No.25 of 2018). As you are aware, Article 114(2) of the Constitution provides: “If, in the opinion of the Speaker of the National Assembly, a motion makes provisions for a matter listed in the definition of “a money Bill”, the Assembly may proceed only in accordance with the recommendation of the relevant Committee of the Assembly after taking into account the views of the Cabinet Secretary responsible for finance.” The electronic version of the Official Hansard Report is for information purposes only.
