    "content": " Thank you, Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker. I rise to support the proposed amendments. They are straightforward and appropriate. Let me use this opportunity to also comment broadly on the role of this very important institution. The SRC has metamorphosed positively. It is like it is going for policy reforms rather than trying to get at anybody. When they began, there was a bit of fascination with particularly the National Assembly. That seems to have declined somehow. They are now moving into their appropriate territory of playing the role that is expected of them. It will help the Executive to manage remuneration packages and the wage bill and related issues across the board."
