    "content": "Mr. Speaker, Sir, I rise pursuant to Standing Order No.48(1) to seek a Statement from the Standing Committee on Land, Environment and Natural Resources on the status of the Bute Mega Dam Project in Wajir County, which was to have a water supply, recreation facility and irrigation component. It was to benefit most of Wajir County and parts of Marsabit County. In the Statement, the Committee should:- (1) Provide a progress report on the project with regard to funding, design, tendering and construction; and, (2) State the identity of the company undertaking the project, its country of origin, the tender amount and indicate the project’s scheduled dates of commencement and completion. I thank you, Mr. Speaker, Sir."
