    "content": "Article 245(1) and 245(2) of the Constitution established the office of the IG of Police which is an office in the NPS. The IG is appointed by the President with the approval of Parliament. Unlike other provisions, the Constitution says Parliament in its entirety and not just the National Assembly. That is what necessitated us to sit down with the National Assembly Committee on the same."
