However, tomorrow being a joint sitting, we shall allow the Deputy Senate Majority Leader to issue the Statement on the business of next week. Before that, the matter on the use of Roundup is a grave matter touching on public health. Herbicides and pesticides are widely used in agriculture which is a devolved function. Therefore, I direct that the Committee on Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries engages Sen. Cherargei on this matter with regard to the issues raised by that Statement and file a report in two weeks time. It is so ordered. I request the Senate Majority and Minority Whips to approach the Chair. Proceed, Deputy Senate Majority Leader."
