Speaker, it is against this background that the Government ought to intervene and take stock of preparedness, competence and skills of girls, boys, women and men to manage the gender role stress and gender role strains arising from the shifts in traditional gender roles at home, work and in the public and identify strategies, programmes, policies and legislation that can strengthen the family as the fundamental unit of society to tackle these challenges."
