Deputy Speaker, I beg to move the following Procedural Motion: THAT, this House orders that the business appearing as Order Nos.11, 12 and 13 in the Order Paper be exempted from the provisions of Standing Order 40(3) being a Wednesday Morning, a day allocated for business not sponsored by the Majority or Minority Party or business sponsored by a Committee. Order No.11 is nominating our colleagues who have just won by-elections to committees. Order No.12 is important because it is now more than a year since we constituted as a House, the National Cohesion and Integration Commission. There is a big vacuum and the courts have said that Parliament cannot vet and the same time, do an interview. We are on the Second Reading of this law, which is trying to create a system where Parliament’s role will just be to vet. Order No.13 is the Report on the examination of financial statements for the national Government for the Financial Year 2015/2016. Taking into consideration that we are going on a very long recess beginning Friday, so that our committees can deal with the Budget - the House agrees with the Calendar and will be back on 4th June - we need to finish very important business before the The electronic version of the Official Hansard Report is for information purposes only.
