    "content": "The parent Act talks a lot about discrimination and hate speech, but it does not talk about real issues that are reflected in our national values under Article 10. This Commission has been one of the toothless commissions. It cannot bite and the reason why this is happening is because there is no independence. This is the case and yet Section 26 of the parent Act says that this Commission shall not be subject to the direction or control of any other person or authority. If you look at the process of appointment, you will find that out of the 12 commissioners, seven go through a process that involves appointment by the President. But if you look at the process of their removal, you will find that it is very easy. So, these people can never be independent.
