    "content": " Hon. Temporary Deputy Chairlady, it is good that we have timelines but we must be very careful about the timelines we are putting in law. We are now assuming that the Attorney-General does nothing else or has nothing else but he is waiting for this voluminous document, and he may have many of them that he needs to deal with. You also know that sometimes if this voluminous document is not looked at very keenly, it can put us in real trouble as a nation. We have witnessed some contracts that have put us in a very precarious position as a nation and as a Government. I propose that we either increase the number of days or we withdraw. We do not want the Attorney-General to simply rush through a document and give us the wrong advice. We want him to do the right thing and ensure he protects the nation, especially on such big contracts. We are talking about Kshs5 billion and over. These are not small issues."
