    "content": "Thank you, Mr. Speaker, Sir, for the opportunity to contribute. The students are gone, but I wish them well. I hope they picked one or two things. Let me also join you in welcoming back our colleagues. It was very nice to see them after a long time. With regards to Bills and the mandate of this House, I agree that we have let ourselves down. It is not the first time that Bills have been assented to by the President without the input of this House. I can think of a dozen of them that have passed through that process. Not once have we done something about it and even when we have, we have not followed up with the implementation. I do not know if it is about time for us to look establish a Committee that will be looking at implementation matters or things of that nature, but clearly, there is gap. I have said before that wherever there is a crisis that persists, the crisis is of leadership, with all due respect, and the leadership is not just the leadership of the Senate but all of us in our respective committees."
