    "content": " Hon. Speaker, thank you very much. I also wish to add my voice to this debate. I support this Statute Law (Miscellaneous Amendments) Bill. Even though I have heard most of our colleagues expressing reservations, I do not think the entire Bill is bad. I have heard my colleague, the Chairperson of the Departmental Committee on Transport, Public Works and Housing, lamenting very bitterly that the stakeholders he met during public participation rejected the amendments to the Merchant Shipping Act. That can be re-looked into but we should not throw the baby out with the bath water. There are very good proposals in this Bill, particularly the ones that seek to make amendments to the Kenya School of Law Act and the Legal Education Act."
