"content": "Today, every Kenyan is worried about the future. Nobody knows what will happen. Corruption has eaten up our country. Rwanda is clean and progressing very well. One Senator said that we do not need to refer just to that but we need to make our history. Turning theoretical framework to practical work that Sen. (Dr.) Zani mentioned is one of the important things that we need to do as a nation. Then, we need a proper assessment to be carried in all the counties so that we know how our counties have put what is there for women in the Constitution. Even forming an ad hoc Committee to some extent will help this country. Many women MCAs have been marginalised, denied the opportunity of even bringing any Bill, speaking and so on. Women speakers have faced many challenges. Women holding different positions have been challenged in many different ways. Therefore, there is need for us to do that assessment so that we are guided by what is happening currently. Many consultations have been done. I urge the lobby groups to continue assisting our women and the nation until we achieve our goal. I am a proud person because I am a woman. I have children and I am also a leader. I might not have been in this position if I was not a woman. We are proud to be women and we will work hard so as to ensure that our daughters and sons do not to face the same challenges that we are in today. I appreciate the Senators who have contributed and I will consider their concerns."
