    "content": "Madam Temporary Speaker, you may remember when we were in the ad hoc Committee on maize that you headed, when we met the farmers in Eldoret, you heard the cries of our people. Once they harvest, the brokers buy their produce at throw away prices. When the National Cereals and Produce Board (NCPB) is not buying their produce, the same brokers continue to harass them and buy their produce at a song. This Bill means that, now as people‟s representatives, our major task would be to monitor international commodity prices and we will be able to advise our people on the best time to sell or dispose of their produce."
