Speaker, I beg to give notice of the following Motion: THAT, pursuant to provisions of Standing Order No.256 on exemption of business from Standing Orders, this House resolves to exempt petitions submitted under Section 34 of the Forest Conservation and Management Act, No.34 of 2016, which are petitions for variations of boundaries or revocation of public forest, from provisions of Standing Order Nos.223 and 227(2) in order to accommodate public participation and provide for obligatory resolution of the House approving or rejecting petitions for variation of boundaries or revocation of registration of public forests or a portion of public forests as contemplated under Section 34 of the Forest Conservation and Management Act, No.34 of 2016."
