    "content": "Thank you, Mr. Temporary Speaker, Sir. I rise pursuant to Standing Order No. 48(1) to seek a Statement from the Standing Committee on National Security, Defence and Foreign Relations regarding the acquisition of Kenyan citizenship by individuals who meet the requirements stipulated in Article 13(2) and 15(1) of the Constitution. In the Statement, the Committee should- (1) State the length of time taken to process an application for registration of citizenships. (2)State the number of pending applications and the status of each, giving reasons for any delays in processing. (3) Outline the measures taken by the relevant authorities to fast-track the process."
