Deputy Speaker, I rise to ask the Cabinet Secretary for Education: (i) whether he is aware that Members of Parliament received letters of invitations requesting students to apply for full scholarship with the Kenya Youth Education Scholarship Fund vide a letter Ref No.FIA/R/MP/03/18, titled Full Sponsorship Training for Diploma, dated 22nd March 2018, signed by one Ms. Lilian Nyanki, on behalf of the Chief Executive Officer of the Foundation Institute of Africa; (ii) is he further aware that each student who applied for an offer of a scholarship was expected to pay Kshs16,500; and, (iii) could he confirm whether the said college is registered and accredited with the Ministry, what courses has it been approved to offer and train, and what action the Ministry is intending to take against the said college and its promoters, if found to be fraudulent."
