Yesterday, when the distinguished Senator for Nandi County presented a Petition from West Pokot County, the Senator for Nairobi City County attempted to bring it to the attention of the Chair. Unfortunately, the Chair just brushed it aside. I agree with the Senate Majority Leader that rules of decorum and respect for each other and respecting boundaries of leadership and representation require that if citizens from another county ask me to present a Petition on their behalf, courtesy requires that I have to go to my colleague, explain to him and seek his concurrence or consent."
