Therefore, I have provided Kshs326.5 billion for the security agencies, which include Kshs121.6 billion for defence, Kshs37.7 billion for National Intelligence Service (NIS), Kshs26.9 billion for the Prisons Department, Kshs140 billion for State Department of Interior. The allocation to the State Department of Interior includes Kshs22.8 billion for house allowance for police service and prison service officers and Kshs6.9 billion for police and prison officers’ medical scheme."
