Senators, as you are aware, the Senate is scheduled to proceed on a 10 day recess beginning at the rise of the House today, and concluding on Monday, 1st July, 2019, pursuant to the Senate Calendar adopted on 14th February, 2019. On Tuesday, 2nd July, 2019, the Senate Business Committee (SBC) will meet to schedule the business of the Senate for the week. Subject to further directions by the Committee, the Senate will consider Bills due for Second Reading and Committees of the Whole on Tuesday, 2nd July, 2019. The Senate will also continue with the consideration of business that will not be concluded in today’s Order Paper. On Wednesday, 3rd July and Thursday, 4th July, 2019, the Senate will consider business that will not be concluded on Tuesday and any other business scheduled by the SBC.
