    "content": "THAT the Bill be amended by inserting the following new clause immediately after clause 18 – 18A. (1) A data subject has the right to receive personal data which the data subject has provided to a data controller or data processor, in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format. (2) A data subject has the right to transmit the data obtained under subsection (1) to another data controller or data processor. (3) Where possible, the data subject shall have the right to have the personal data transmitted directly from a data controller or processor to another. (4) The right under this section shall not apply to circumstances where — (a) processing is necessary for the performance of a task carried out in the public interest or in the exercise of an official authority; or (b) it may adversely affect the rights and freedoms of another. (5) An data controller or data processor shall comply with data portability requests, free of charge and within a period of seven days from the date of the request or as may be determined by the Commission personal data is numerous or complex."
