    "content": "In the Statement, the Chairperson should address the following- (a) State the number of Uber and other digital hailing cabs drivers currently registered in Kenya; (b) Explain the payment agreements within the drivers, Apps managers, business partnerships amongst others under the Kenyan law or any other legislation; (c) Explain the rationale for the remission by the drivers of 25 per cent of their collection which is an unfair labour practice tantamount to latter day slavery and violates the minimum wage principle under the country’s labour laws; (d) State whether the Government through the Ministry of Labour and Social Welfare has sanctioned the operations of these ride hailing Apps under the Employment Act and other labour laws; (e)State how the country is benefiting in terms of revenue from these digital cab hailing Apps. (f) State the steps that the Government is taking to shield Kenyan drivers from exploitation by App managers."
