    "content": "Thank you, Mr. Speaker, Sir. I rise pursuant to Standing Order No.48(1) to seek for a Statement from the Standing Committee on Security, Defence and Foreign Relations on the escalating insecurity in Isiolo County. Several towns along the Isiolo-Garissa border have been brought to a standstill as a result of frequent attacks that have led to loss of lives and several families have been forced to run away from their homes. Last week, we lost several lives and many people were injured. Mr. Speaker, Sir, several meetings were held between the communities and Government officials to resolve the border dispute along Isiolo-Garissa border. However, the Government is yet to implement the resolutions. A few weeks ago, General Service Unit (GSU) officers were accused of harassing and displacing residents or Yakbarsadi. The officers used force on innocent civilians residing along the Isiolo-Meru border and The electronic version of the Senate Hansard Report is for information purposesonly.
