Oundo, we had expressed ourselves on the need to have our chairpersons in the House when we are having this debate on the Committee of Supply on allocations for different lines and departments. There is no provision in the Standing Orders that they should be here. But it is a matter of sense and good practice that it is the real business of the House to allocate funds for the work of the people of Kenya. They have been given duties to chair departmental committees. Hon. Washiali had undertaken that he will speak to all the remaining chairpersons of committees to always be present. We will continue tomorrow."
