(a) My Ministry, through the Kenya Wildlife Service, has taken the following steps to address the conflicts experienced in the Tsavo area and Shimba Hills National Reserve. The Tsavo Conservation Management and Coast Conservation management has in response to the conflicts, deployed nine officers and 56 rangers in seven strategic locations, namely; Voi, Taveta, Rombo, Komboyo, Chyulu, Mutomo Station and Shimba Station. These stations are fully equipped with vehicles and other items meant to respond to conflict."
