Speaker, it is against this background that I want to seek a Statement this afternoon from the Departmental Committee on Administration and National Security on the following grounds: (i) a disclosure of number of Chinese nationalities currently in the country and who hold valid permits to work; (ii) clarification on agreements pertaining to trade and labour for foreigners in this country; (iii) why foreigners are finding it easy to set-up and run businesses in this country as opposed to local Kenyans; (iv) bring information on whether there is any existing kitty to aid import and export of trade for local traders; Therefore, I look forward to getting this information explained as per the Kenya Trade Bill. Thank you."
