Speaker, under Clause 5, the Committee rejected the Senate amendments to paragraph (o) and (p) and agreed to the following amendments: That, paragraph (o) and (p) to be amended to read – “(o) a person nominated by the Kenya Private Sector Alliance (KEPSA) and also appointed by the Cabinet Secretary; and, (p) nominated by the registered associations representing residents.” The Committee agreed to the Senate amendments also within sub-clause (3) as follows: THAT, Clause 5 of the Bill be amended by deleting and substituting thereof the following sub-clause– (3) The Cabinet Secretary shall appoint members nominated under section 2(l),(m), (n), (o), (p) and (q) by notice in the Gazette."
