    "content": " Thank you, Hon. Deputy Speaker. I rise to second this very important amendment Bill which touches on the amendment of the Law of Contract and deals with the issue of borrowing by the principal borrower and the guarantor. It is high time this House looked at the various laws that we inherited from England and India, especially those touching on contracts because in most cases, they are not in consonance with the practice of the people of Kenya and what they desire to see as the law being implemented by our courts. While in law school, we learnt that there are two contracts in the contracts of borrowing. The first contract is the contract of the principal debt and the second is the contract of guarantee.
