    "content": "As regard rails, we are aware that the Kenya Railways Corporation has been unable to perform properly. We are happy that the Ministry went out to concession the railways operation. But unfortunately, that did not work. We would like to urge the Ministry to re-negotiate the concession, so that it is put back on track and investment is put in place. We also urge the Ministry to go ahead and put the standard gauge rail which is funded by the Government and donors. That should be taken seriously because without railway we cannot transport our goods properly. As of now, we are expending a lot of money repairing our roads because our roads sector carries about 80 per cent of our goods within the region. So, to offload the stress from the roads sector, railway transport must be resuscitated, so that it takes its rightful share. Many countries of the world use railway as the mode of transport for heavy load."
