Speaker, I rise to ask Question No.298/2019 to the Cabinet Secretary for Industry, Trade and Co-operatives. i) Could the Cabinet Secretary provide details of the whereabouts of the 1.2 million bags of contaminated sugar confiscated in the months of May, June and July 2018 by the Government’s Multi-Agency Team at various points across the country and whether it was destroyed? ii) What mechanism has the Multi-Agency Team put in place to further rid the market of the contaminated commodity as well as prevent it from accessing the market?
