    "content": "THAT, Clause 22 of the Bill be amended - (a) in sub-clause (1) by deleting the word “and” appearing in paragraph (e) and substituting therefor the word “or”; (b) by deleting sub- clause (2) and substituting therefor the following new sub- clause (2) - (2) Before a Clerk is removed under subsection (1), the Clerk shall be informed of the case against him or her in writing and shall be given reasonable time to defend himself or herself against any of the grounds cited for the intended removal. (c) by deleting sub- clause (3) and substituting therefor the following new sub- clause (3) - (3) The Commission shall, within seven days of a decision to remove a Clerk, submit that decision to the relevant House of Parliament for approval in accordance with the Standing Orders of that House."
