"content": "Thank you, Madam Temporary Speaker, for this opportunity. Just to join Sen. Khaniri in his Statement that he has made, on my own behalf and that of the people of Nairobi, where the family of Kadenge has lived for years in Mariakani; the Abaluhya Football Club (AFC) Leopards, where I am the patron, we pass to the family of Joe Kadenge the most sincere condolences . We have lost a great man; the golden boy of Kenyan football, who was the best footballer of all time. Those who are football enthusiasts can tell you that for a country that has produced J.J. Masiga, Josephat ‘Controller’ Murila, Wilberforce Mulamba, Austin Oduor, the Marigas and the Wanyamas still, even to date, none comes close to what Joseph Kadenge was in this country. Even growing up in Nairobi City, years after he had played for Kenya; Maragoli and later AFC Leopards, we always used to sing ‘ Kadengena mpira, shoot, goal! ’ That was the song when we were growing up in Nairobi in the 1980s. So, he has left an indelible mark in our country’s football and sports."
