    "content": "Thank you, Madam Temporary Speaker, for also giving me this chance to contribute to this Statement. I am opposing it. I come from Bomet County near Mau Forest. By the way, it is Mau Forest just by name; there are no trees there any more. There are many things we can gain from trees without having to cut them. For example, we can get fruits and honey. In the past, forests used to even be a home to the Ogiek Community. However, right now, they have no place there because they do not cultivate crops, but rely on berries from trees as well as honey."
