    "content": "Thank you, Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir. I rise pursuant to Standing Order No. 48(1) to seek a Statement from the Standing Committee on National Security, Defence and Foreign Relations regarding the state of preparedness by Government for inclusion of minority communities in the forthcoming 2019 National Population and Housing Census. In the Statement, the Committee should- (1) Indicate the status of preparedness of the Government to carry out the 2019 National Population and Housing Census. (2) Provide a list of unique community codes that are assigned to all communities in Kenya for the purpose of the exercise, stating whether minority communities such as the Ogiek, Endorois and Yaaku have such codes, and if not, explain why. (3) Explain the measures that the Government has put in place to ensure that all Kenyans are enumerated including the minority communities as well as pastoralist communities."
