    "content": "Mr. Speaker, Sir, this is a very serious matter, because Kenyans are being exploited. Recently, we had a documentary where Kenyans are being exploited by supermarkets and the KP. Lighting is possibly the most expensive, either in this region or in the world; and everybody is affected. Mr. Speaker, Sir, even though the Statement by Sen. Khaniri is on a particular aspect, I think that as a Parliament, we have to start finding a method about consumer protection in Kenya. This is because what is happening by what Sen. Khaniri’s Statement seeks to address, and the people who have been exploited by the supermarkets, is as a result of lack of consumer protection legislation. Mr. Apollo Mboya fought for Kenyans on the KP billing and he was vilified on Twitter. Eventually, he was vindicated in our courts, but it did not help.
