"content": "Mr. Speaker, Sir, it is also unfortunate that we are talking of industrialization of our country, yet we know very well that we are not good with electricity. The electricity bills are very high in Kenya and, apart from that, it is always on and off. I remember when I was the women representative, I was in poultry farming. I wanted to help the women to do poultry farming. However, most of the time, we were losing our eggs because of the KP. The power would go off all the time, sometimes for three or four hours. It was also unaffordable, which made us to stop the poultry farming. We know very well that the chicken and eggs we eat in Kenya do not come from Kenya. We kill our industries and support other people’s industries, and we want to tell Kenyans that we want to industrialise and to be counted, come year 2030. I do not know how we intend to meet some of these obligations."
