    "content": "Mr. Speaker, Sir, I rise pursuant to Standing Order 48(1) to seek a Statement from the Standing Committee on Education concerning the increase in cases of bullying in schools in the country. In the Statement, the Committee should- (a) Explain the reason behind the increase in incidences of bullying in schools in Kenya especially in secondary schools. (b) Table statistics on the incidences of bullying in secondary schools which have been reported to the Ministry of Education indicating their nature and action taken thereon by the Government and the respective schools. (c) Explain the measures put in place by the Ministry to curb the menace and deal with the underlying causes. (d) State measures put by schools to offer assistance to victims of bullying including psychological assistance to ensure that they are able to continue with their education."
