"content": "Thank you, Mr. Speaker, Sir. I want to congratulate my sister, Sen. (Dr.) Milgo, for raising this pertinent issue. Lions and wildlife are held dearly by civilised people. They killed their wildlife and they now have to visit our nations to see our wildlife. If we do not learn from history, then we will be forced to google how a lion looked like in the future. I ask the Committee, before which this matter will be referred, to look for ways and means of sustaining the economic activities of the communities that host the wildlife. The conflict between their socio-economic activities and the wildlife is the reason for the extinction of the wild animals. In looking for a solution, we should identify an economic activity that these communities can participate in as a way of compensating them for the loss of land that is now being used to keep the wildlife."
