    "content": " Thank you, Hon. Speaker for giving me an opportunity to support this very important Report by the Departmental Committee on Lands. I had an opportunity to share with some of the members of this association when they came to Parliament. I learnt that these particular people were displaced from the Rift Valley following the tribal clashes of 1992 that related to the general election of that year. They lived at Kirigiti Stadium until 1995. After having stayed there with their families for three years, former President Moi issued an Executive order through the District Commissioner (DC), which was communicated to the Kiambu County Council. Subsequently, these people were moved to this new land, which was part of the forest."
