    "content": "Thank you, Mr. Speaker, Sir. Our Constitution, while acknowledging the Almighty God of all creation as the Supreme Being of this world, also recognises the aspirations of all Kenyans for a Government based on the essential values of human rights, equality, freedom, democracy, social justice and the Rule of Law. Indeed, one of the reasons why this Constitution was established was to ensure that there is clear balance in terms of opportunities and equality in everything that we do whether in educational institutions, social areas or Government positions and everywhere else. We must impart values that our children and the generations to come will espouse, so that they live in a country that is free from all other encumbrances. There is nothing as bad as discrimination. This is what this Committee is supposed to look into and this is what this Statement is seeking.
