The Member is your colleague and should be given the opportunity to indicate whether or not he or she feels comfortable getting answers from a person other than the Cabinet Secretary. That way, decisions can be made on the basis of what the desire of the Member would be in appropriate cases. All the same, let us not allow Cabinet Secretaries to communicate to us through what the Leader of the Majority Party termed as text messages, WhatsApp, Instagram or such other medium. Let us just use the official channels."
