    "content": "So, we do not have the money. Since I want to give more time to my colleagues to make their contributions, let me go to the final part of my contribution. This thing has disturbed me. It is the people, through the payment of taxes, who finance the national Budget. The National Treasury proposes to collect Kshs1.8 trillion from the people. If we consider raising an additional Kshs19.2 billion through taxation, that will be the end of this country. We saw yesterday the inflation rate in our country has gone up by 1.5 per cent. That tells us that prices of commodities have gone up. Where do we get Kshs19.2 billion from? This is the question we want to ask Senators and governors. They will not get it from the Judiciary, Parliament or the National Treasury."
